Legend of Stony Creek, the play written by MaryAnn Williamson and performed for many years during the Edinburg Old Time Festival is being revived!
Barbara Strong will be directing 2 performances of the play, the first at 11:00 on Saturday morning Sept. 16th before the parade,and the second on Sunday Sept 17th at 2:00 p.m.
Auditions will be held sometime in mid July. Characters needed: Indians, 5 or 6 children, ages 8-12, townspeople ( must be willing and able to sing), Union soldiers, Confederate soldiers, preacher, and others. Most parts will require speaking lines. Rehearsals will begin the first week of August .
The script has been rewritten but will place emphasis on the history of the saving of the Mill plus some interesting facts of the local townspeople, businesses of the era, etc. For more information contact Barbara at 765-242-7477, or email: busybee7053@att.net.
